Jack’s passion for singing, dancing, acting, and music began at the age of five, performing his original Holiday shows in the family living room. Since then, he’s honed his passion for performing in numerous productions and charitable events. Being onstage, singing, dancing, and performing are what makes Jack, Jack. He can be seen in the upcoming Songs for the World Concert on January 28th.
The stage has always been where Jack shines. He was seen most recently in A Class Act NY's production of A Chorus Line as Bobby. Other stage performances include Billy Elliot (Michael), Peace, Love, and Cupcakes: The Musical (Josh), Dance Divas Nutcracker (Hayden), Sweet Charity (Charlie), High School Musical (Ryan), and The Drowsy Chaperone (Robert). In addition, Jack has performed at numerous professional venues, including Carnegie Hall with the Broadway Youth Ensemble, and Feinstein's 54 Below in Futurefest.
Jack has continued to use his talents for charitable causes. Jack has participated in Tunes in Times Square Benefit Concert, Dancers With Cancer at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Lyrics for Life at Symphony Space, and Dance Against Cancer Youth Movement at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center.
As a dancer, Jack’s presence onstage is captivating. He is an advanced dancer with many years of training and experience in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary. He has been featured as Fritz in The Nutcracker and has competed in many regional dance competitions. Jack is proud to be a current member of the Magnolia Dance Competition Team.
In addition to these other pursuits, Jack enjoys composing and writing music. He published his debut single It’s Time at the age of 11. It was released on over 20 different music platforms. Jack likes to focus his compositions on musical theatre, pop, and piano pieces. He plays piano, guitar, and ukulele and has performed at The Bitter End and Carnegie Hall.
When not performing, Jack enjoys tumbling, swimming, the beach and perfecting his American Sign Language(ASL) skills. Jack also teaches ASL in his community in Rockville Centre, and in Manhattan. Jack owns a business called Jack Richman Music Service where he provides custom piano tracks, instrumental accompaniment tracks, sheet music transcriptions, and transpositions, audio editing, and many other music services.
